Former Step Onward recipient Alasha Bunton, pictured, returned to Love Is Home to share what Step Onward’s support meant during a pivotal time in her life.
A leukemia survivor, Alasha has earned two degrees, built a career in real estate and entrepreneurship, and is now raising her own family.
“I met Patrice when I was transitioning out of high school into college, trying to figure out my next move. You have been an absolute blessing to my life. You were able to help fund my path, and two degrees, that eventually turned into my real estate license.”
Alasha’s story was the emotional highlight of the evening. It’s also an important reminder that helping someone in need can have an impact that reaches far beyond that moment.
